The installers did a great job, nice and tidy no fuss, and the electrician was able to call while the installers were here to connect to the meter etc.

Electricity Collection
Being a half Scot I am always interested in saving money, since we have had the collectors on our roof the last electric bill is the first one we have had where we can work out the savings involved.

We have three freezers, two work constantly, third one occasionally, plus two fridge freezers, we put time switches on the freezers so that they come on at 6pm, switch off at 6am.

We have been more careful how we use electricity, our bill shows that we have used less kWhs but part of that would be because the house is supplied first from our collectors.

Our saving is about $430.00 for the last 3 months, even though we did not have a lot of sun, which is a return of about 8% on our outlay, it will be interesting to see how 12 months stacks up.

The collectors have obviously been very worthwhile, if our money was still in ****** we would have been struggling to get 4%.

In the Green
For various reasons it has taken us a while to get back into "normal" mode, but I decided to delay sending a "thank-you" note until I received my first quarterly account from Origin Energy. This arrived yesterday, and for the 69 days covered we are in credit $174. I am very happy with this, and hope that in succeeding quarters I can continue to be "in the green" rather than "in the red" despite the grey weather we have been experiencing over the past few weeks. Thanks for your persistence and good grace getting the system operational in the face of many unexpected problems encountered. I am definitely a satisfied customer.
